In the same folder, there is a file called system_timesim.sdf and I'm not sure what to do with it. I launch ModelsimPE and load up this file generated by EDK: system_timesim.v I took the one from EDK_Lib and copied it to C:\Modeltech_pe_edu_6.4c I see two new folders on my disk: C:\simlib\EDK10.1.03_mti_se_nt\EDK_Lib and C:\simlib\EDK10.1.03_mti_se_nt\ISE_Lib.Įach one has a modelsim.ini file.
So I've compiled the Xilinx simulation libraries twice in fact: once in ISE and again in EDK (not sure why each tool has an option to do this, and I'm also not sure which tool I should use to doing it)Īfter a hour or more, Xilinx has generated a couple gigabytes of library data.
